Text 30 Jul 2 notes Internship

Were thinking that we now have the infrastructure to support an intern or two if it’s a team/couple. The dust is settling, the chaos simmering at a low boil and we have learned so much about working with others here at long arm farm. We could REALLY use the help and we have a lot of wisdom to share with the right person wishing to get their hands dirty and shirt sweaty in an effort to learn what it is to grow food in a sustainable, small, super diverse and inspired manner. Anyone interested in permaculture, goats, dairy, cheese making, biointensive gardening, putting up food, building, poultry, orchardry (or wizardry), mushrooms, wildcrafting, medicinal herbs, would have something to learn. In the grand scheme of things were just getting started ourselves (3rd summer at it) so someone willing to learn along with us is essential. 2 weeks to 3 months. Rustic and very simple housing provided - seasonal food (everything grown and made here - fruit, veggies, nuts, mushrooms, herbs, lots of wild foods, meat, cheese, bread - though keep in mind were focusing on perennial food crops, save milk and cheese, were not yet drowning in food, you’ll need to supplement.) but not meals provided, happy to share the occasional meal though. Occasional access to shower, laundry and kitchen in our house (or, the creek is yours anytime!). Commitment of 25 hours per week in labor - weather permitting. Spread the word!
